Door Shakespeare Announces New Positions!

Door Shakespeare will be hiring an ARTISTIC ASSOCIATE and MANAGING PRODUCER to work alongside Artistic Director Amy Ludwigsen beginning March 1st, 2017. The Artistic Associate and Managing Producer will be full-time during the May through September production season and will work on a project-based calendar in the off-season. Local Door County residents as well as non-residents living outside of the county are encouraged to apply as both positions require residency in Door County only during the production season. Job duties for both positions include the following:

Artistic Associate-

Off-Season Duties Include-
• Assist in creation of marketing and development strategies with Managing Producer and Artistic Director.
• Attend all general auditions and assist with casting for the summer season. The Artistic Associate will serve as a liaison between the artistic company and members of the leadership team.
• Arrange educational programming for the calendar year.
• Attend monthly meetings with Artistic Director and Managing Producer.

Production Season (May 1st-September 1st) Duties Include-
• Serve as Education Coordinator.
• Create editorial content for marketing pieces and season playbill.
• Serve as a liaison between all production team members, acting company, and leadership team.
• Arrange professional development and employment search opportunities for the acting company.
• Oversee and attend development, marketing, and outreach events. Arrange entertainment for the Annual Gala.
• Strategize outreach opportunities and foster community relationships along with the Artistic Director and Managing Producer.

Managing Producer-

Off-Season Duties Include-
• Create and implement development strategies for the organization along with Artistic Director and Artistic Associate.
• Arrange housing for all company members and issue company survey.
• Assist in the creation of marketing strategies with Artistic Director and Artistic Associate.
• Assess current office operations and train on all ticketing and development software.
• Attend monthly meetings with Artistic Director and Artistic Associate

Production Season (May 1st-September 1st) Duties Include-
• Maintain all daily operations for the administrative office.
• Execute all marketing strategies as created in collaboration with Artistic Director and Artistic Associate.
• Execute all development strategies as created in collaboration with Artistic Director and Artistic Associate.
• Manage all budgeting and financial reports.
• Serve as Company Manager.
• Train and manage Administrative Intern.
• Train and manage with Front of House Staff.
• Oversee and attend development, marketing, and outreach events.
